Diler Holding intends to expand and diversify its business lines. Due to the anticipated electrical energy deficit in Turkey and considering the size of its own energy consumption, electricity generation investments appear as the logical option for the Holding to achieve such a goal. Noteworthy is the fact that the Group has an average electrical power demand of 200 MW on its own. Therefore, Diler aims to become one of the major energy contributors in the Turkish energy sector. In order to achieve this objective, two subsidiaries, Diler Electricity Generation Inc. and Atlas Power Generation Inc. were established in 2005 and 2008, respectively.
Diler Electric Generation Inc. was established with the aims of generating and trading electricity. The Company is headquartered in Istanbul, with a representative office in Ankara where all the technical issues, official formalities of the projects and electricity trade issues are managed. The Company constructed and is operating 38.25 MW (3x12.75 MW) Dim Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) since 09.07.2010.
Diler Electric Generation Inc. obtained the license of 3x12.75 MW Dim HEPP from EMRA (Energy Market Regulatory Autority) on the date 19.07.2007, started the construction works on 10.10.2008 and put the plant into commercial operation after almost 21 months long construction / installation period.
In the long term, the Company will be considering to develop new HEPP and other renewable energy generation projects.
In Turkey, the current electricity consumption per capita is around 2,090 kwh which is well below the average actual per capita consumption of 6,460 kWh in the European Union countries. According to 2004-2020 projections produced by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MENR), per capita consumption in Turkey is expected to reach 5,700 kwh by 2020, with a cumulative annual growth rate of 7.7%.
To sum up, the Company is well positioned to become one of the major energy contributors in the Turkish energy sector.
3x12.75 MW DİM HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANT
Dim HEPP is located approximately 5 km north-east of Alanya town of the Antalya Province. The water comes to the power plant from the Dim Dam which is located at about 10 km north of the power plant, through a tunnel of 3.35 m. diameter. The Dim Dam and the tunnel were constructed by DSİ (State Water Works).

The electrical energy generated at the power plant is transferred to the national grid at Alanya II Transformer Substation by means of an approximately 5 km long 34.5 kV transmission line. As of the end of February-2011, the total electrical energy generated at the power plant is 64,500,000.
The power plant is operated by 8 personnel (1 operation manager, 4 operators, 2 maintenance personnel and 1 general serviceman).
